Finally, iOS owners will be able to play through Telltale’s amazing take on ‘The Walking Dead’. Available for $4.99 through the App Store, this version will only work on iPad 2 and iPhone 4 and later models. Early adopters can pre-order the rest of the series at a discounted $14.99 (reg. $19.99).

After seeing what Telltale has accomplished with the iOS platform with it’s other titles (Sam & Max, Tales of Monkey Island & Jurassic Park), The Walking Dead is sure to hold up to it’s console counterpart. Having played Jurassic Park on both formats, I actually prefer playing these games on my iPad over my 360 or PS3. The controls just ‘feel’ better on a tablet. I’ll have my first impressions on this version soon (this is actually my first time playing the game all together).

One of my favorite handheld titles from 2011 is now available on your preferred iDevice. If you haven’t played Ghost Trick yet, you’re truly missing out on one of the most creative and fun games from last year. Players manipulate objects on screen to solve mysteries, save people’s lives and uncover the secret behind their past.

While Ghost Trick has already been available on iOS in Japan, today marks the day the game is available in North America. The first two chapters of the game are free, but you’ll have to pay for the rest of the experience. Also, take note you’ll need at least an iPhone 3GS or third generation iPod Touch to run the game — but the app is universal so it’ll run on iPad as well.

Trust me, you don’t want to miss this game. Now you have no excuse to not pick it up!
