Just when you thought the system couldn’t get any bigger, it does! In a Q&A session with Famitsu, Nintendo announced that the new, larger 3DS XL model will get it’s own Circle Pad Pro. No price or date was said, or that if it was coming to the US, but I would think it’ll be on or near the release date of the system for around the same price. Also, Nintendo will be launching a charging cradle for the XL as well, only it won’t come with the system. It’ll be sold for $15 separately.
This has been some of the most disappointing news from Nintendo I’ve heard in a while. Why not just make the bigger system with the second slide pad? Why not just include a charging cradle like you did before? I understand that too many different models would confuse buyers like it has with the PS3, 360, and DS, but that’s why you should just make a system that EVERYONE wants. People want a 2nd slide pad, so add it. If you want to make a game that doesn’t use it, so be it! Don’t use it. Simple as that.
