Gravity Rush is probably one of the most anticipated titles for Sony’s new PlayStation Vita. To the sadness of many gamers, it was not a launch title — actually, it’s not even in the launch window. Luckily, fans no long have to wonder when they’ll get there hands on this Vita exclusive because today Sony officially announced a release date, June 12.
It’s unique gameplay mechanic of controlling/manipulating gravity, free-flowing combat system and its gorgeous, cel-shaded art style has me very excited about this games release. As long as the developers don’t tack on a bunch of mandatory, gimmicky, Vita-feature controls — I’m looking at you, Uncharted: Golden Abyss – which could possibly hinder gameplay, Gravity Rush seems like a sure hit for Sony’s new handheld. Just keep that stuff optional…please.
This looks to be the game that makes early adopters glad they purchased a Vita. Until then, continue to whet your appetite over this awesome looking trailer.
Gravity Rush is an action-adventure game developed by Sony’s JAPAN Studios. It will be available on June 12, 2012 for PlayStation Vita in both physical and digital versions.
