Not even a full year after Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, gamers will be reunited with their favorite assassin in training Desmond Miles on October 30 for Assassin’s Creed III. Ubisoft was very light on the details, but company CEO Yves Guillemot says ACIII will be “the biggest launch in Ubisoft history.”
“We will push the title a lot because it’s a fantastic product that the team has been working for three years,” said Guillemot. “What we have seen is just fabulous.”
No word on who the new key protagonist will be, since it seems Ezio Auditore da Firenze took his final bow in AC: Revelations, nor any word on the time period or location. All we do know, however, is that the Assassin’s Creed games focus on the year 2012 and the doomsday clock. Given the year, this may be the most excited I am for an Assassin’s Creed game yet.
When more details arrive, we’ll let you know.
Assassin’s Creed III will be the fifth entry in the series (not including mobile game spin-offs). The game is set to release on October 30, 2012.
